Fire Marshal Training for Carers
in-person, at your workplace
Having trained Fire Marshals (also known as Fire Wardens) on duty at work is a requirement of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
Their role is critical in the event of an emergency evacuation, accounting for all people, and liaising with the responding Fire Service. Fire Marshals also play a pivotal role in day-to-day fire safety – in performing key checks, promoting good fire safety practices, and influencing the behaviors of others. Fire Marshals need advanced training both in the theoretical and practical use of fire extinguishers.
This bespoke Fire Marshal Training for Carers session is adapted for care settings to cover additional elements that are not covered in the standard Fire Marshal Training session. This course additionally covers the Fire Emergency Evacuation Plan (FEEP) in detail, establishing principles required to enable effective management of residents who have a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) in place and also includes additional elements to ensure staff are competent in the use of evacuation aids.
The Fire Marshal Training session for carers will raise your staff’s awareness and understanding of fire safety in their particular care setting and will provide essential knowledge on fire prevention, identification of hazards and response actions to the FEEP in an emergency.
