Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced Critical Care Team to sick and injured people when they need it most. Operating day and night, 365 days a year, their team is called out on average seven times a day to respond to emergencies such as road traffic collisions, sporting accidents, collapses, and other life-threatening incidents.
These aren’t just ordinary call-outs — HIOWAA brings the hospital to the patient. Their Critical Care Teams, made up of specialist paramedics, pilots, dispatchers and doctors, are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and advanced medication, enabling them to perform surgical procedures, administer anaesthesia, and deliver intensive care on the spot – whether that’s at the roadside, by your bedside, or in the countryside.
