Flexible Fire Safety Training for 24/7 Workplaces

When your team works around the clock, training should too. At Benfield Fire Safety, we deliver flexible fire safety training that aligns with your business’s shift patterns—whether that means late nights, early mornings, or split shifts. We’re committed to helping every staff member receive high-quality, face-to-face training—without disrupting operations.

Why Flexible Fire Safety Training Matters

For industries like hospitality, care, and facilities management, fixed training times just don’t work. Staff are spread across multiple shifts, and each team needs to understand how to respond in an emergency.

That’s why we offer truly flexible fire safety training. For example, we recently delivered training at a UK hotel between 11pm and 6am. This ensured key night-time staff—like porters and housekeeping—could attend during their regular working hours. The result? Maximum participation, minimal disruption.

Designed Around Your Business

Every business is different—and so is every shift pattern. Whether you’re managing a care home with rotating night staff or a hotel with back-to-back guest turnover, we tailor training to your needs, not the clock.

Sectors We Regularly Support:

  • Hotels & hospitality: Training concierge, night porters, and housekeeping on real-life fire response.
  • Care homes & assisted living: Supporting carers and overnight staff with evacuation training.
  • Warehousing & manufacturing: Accommodating rotating and overnight shifts for operational continuity.
  • Student housing & facilities teams: On-site training across various building types and team setups.
  • Retail & supermarkets: Fire safety training for early stockroom teams or overnight crews.

No matter the industry, our mission is the same: to make fire safety accessible, practical, and fully compliant—without the stress of rescheduling or shift clashes.

What Our Flexible Training Can Include:

We believe fire safety training should be practical, engaging, and site-specific. Our trainers bring real-world firefighting experience and tailor every session to your environment, topics covered often include covering:

  • Fire extinguisher use
  • Evacuation protocols, including personal emergency evacuation plans (PEEPs)
  • Fire marshal responsibilities
  • Site-specific hazards and real-life simulations
  • Compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005

And because our training is face-to-face, we can adapt the delivery to different learning styles—helping teams absorb information confidently, no matter the hour.

Real Example: Hotel Fire Safety Training Delivered Overnight

In a recent project, we trained overnight staff at a large UK hotel group. Sessions ran through the night and early morning, ensuring that all employees—from late-shift cleaners to front-of-house night staff—received equal access to training.

Key outcomes:

  • No interruption to guest service
  • Full team coverage across departments
  • Increased safety awareness on night shifts
  • Compliance without compromise

This kind of flexible fire safety training helps businesses meet legal obligations whilst minimising disruption to both staff and business. Whilst also prioritising staff safety and comfort.
