Very Engaging Training
“I’ve done fire warden training with other companies and the trainers can come across as quite officious. This is the first time we have used Benfield Fire Safety, so we weren’t sure what to expect, but it was very different.

Excellent training session
We have always done our fire training in-house with our own excellent trainer, but on this occasion, I was looking for specific training for my senior team of nurses who are fire wardens. On meeting Jason I realised that he understood the care business and our training needs and would be able to support us. He delivered an excellent training session for our fire wardens, which was followed by a practical hands-on fire extinguisher session outside. This was attended by staff from various departments. They all thoroughly enjoyed the experience, using the equipment Jason brought with him. It is invaluable to have the opportunity to use real fire extinguishers to see how they handle and to build confidence for an occasion that you hope will never happen.

We moved to new premises and approached Benfield Fire Safety to carry out our fire marshal training. Jason was professional and knowledgeable and delivered the course at the right level for us. Interesting and relevant training
We interviewed several fire safety companies and chose Benfield Fire Safety because they were the most professional and offered interesting, realistic and relevant fire safety training. The use of “faux” fires that staff extinguish coupled with a fire evacuation means that if they ever encountered a fire – they would actually remember their training and be able to apply the safest solution. The feedback received from staff could not be better; they are interested in attending and learn from the sessions. We cannot conduct a mock evacuation of our residents but the staff can be trained on how to do so safely and it has helped them to feel confident in the event of an emergency.
The fire risk assessments and fire evacuation plans for each of our care homes are thorough and easy to follow for all to use, and for us as owners to see where we need to make changes and invest.
